Housewife murdered at Tarani Road, suspense mounts

৩১ অক্টোবরঃ শিলচর তরণী রোডে ২৫ বছর বয়সী গৃহবধূ খুনের ঘটনায় চাঞ্চল্য দেখা দিয়েছে। নিহতের নাম ঝুমা পাল। তাঁর শ্বশুরবাড়ি লিঙ্ক রোডে। বাবার বাড়ি ত্রিপুরায়। একমাস ধরে স্বামী-স্ত্রী মিলে বাস করছিলেন তরণী রোডের ভাড়াবাড়িতে। স্বামী রাজু পাল রংমিস্ত্রি।

তিনিই বুধবার সন্ধ্যায় স্ত্রী খুনের কথা পুলিশকে জানান। রাজু বলেন, তিনি কাজ সেরে সন্ধ্যায় বাড়ি ফিরে দেখেন, ঘরের মেঝেতে পড়ে রয়েছে স্ত্রীর মৃতদেহ। মাথায় আঘাতের চিহ্ন। রক্তে ভেসে গিয়েছে পুরো মেঝ।

পুলিশ গিয়ে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে। পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, খুনের উদ্দেশ্য বা খুনিদের সম্পর্কে এখনও ক্লু মেলেনি। তবে তাঁরা গুরুত্ব সহ তদন্তে নেমে পড়েছেন।

October 31: Suspense mounted in and around Silchar, when a 25-year old housewife was murdered at Silchar Tarani Road on Wednesday. Her name is Jhuma Paul. The murdered lady is originally from Tripura. The house of her in-laws is at Link Road. Both the husband and wife were residing at Tarani Road since the last one month. Jhuma’s husband Raju Paul works as a painter.

Raju informed the police on Wednesday about the murder of his wife. He said that, on reaching home in the evening after his work, he saw his wife Jhuma lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood. There were some visible marks of being hit with something hard on her head.

Police went and recovered the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. Police has, however, not been able to understand the motive of the murder. Speaking to way2barak, they said that they have started their investigation and are in the quest of a clue.
