Earthquake measuring 3.0 jolts Tezpur in Assam on Thursday morning

Dec. 24: An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale, jolted Tezpur in Assam and its adjoining areas at 06.56 AM on Thursday. In a tweet by National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.0, Occurred on 24-12-2020, 06:56:06 IST, Lat: 26.10 & Long: 93.01, Depth: 5 Km ,Location: 65km SSE of Tezpur, Assam.” However, there were no report of any casualties.
