Draft electoral roll published in Cachar

Nov 18: Integrated Draft Electoral Roll has been published on Wednesday in Cachar District. Issuing a notice on Wednesday to this effect, Election Officer, Cachar, Navanita Hazarika stated the schedule of special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with respect to 1 January, 2021 as qualifying date. It further stated that filing claims and objections can be made between 18 November, 2020 to 15 December, 2020.

Special campaign dates will be two Saturdays and Sundays within claims and objection period to be prescribed by the CEO. Disposal of claims will be made by 5 January, 2021. Checking of health parameters and obtaining commission’s permission for final publication and updating data base and printing of supplements will be done by 14 January, 2021. It was mentioned that Final Electoral Roll will be published on 15 January, 2021.

It is pertinent to mention here that those who turn 18 years of age on 1 January, 2021 are eligible to include their names in final publication of draft electoral roll and for inclusion, correction and deletion of name, individual can apply through online in nvsp.in. This was informed by Election Officer, Cachar.
