Dr. Joyashri Dey nominated as a member of Shrimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra Society
শ্রীমন্ত শংকরদেব কলাক্ষেত্র সোসাইটির সদস্য মনোনীত আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ড. জয়শ্রী দে

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১২ অক্টোবর : গুয়াহাটির শ্রীমন্ত শংকরদেব কলাক্ষেত্র সোসাইটির অন্যতম সদস্য হিসেবে মনোনীত হলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সহকারী অধ্যাপিকা ড. জয়শ্রী দে। সোসাইটির সাধারণ পরিষদের সদস্য হিসেবে তাঁর কার্যকাল থাকবে পাঁচ বছর। অতি সম্প্রতি রাজ্য সরকারের সাংস্কৃতিক মন্ত্রকের সচিব পল্লবী ফুকনের জারি করা এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে কলাক্ষেত্র সোসাইটির এই নতুন সাধারণ পরিষদ গঠনের কথা জানানো হয়েছে।

নবগঠিত পরিষদের সভাপতি হিসেবে রয়েছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ড. হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মা। বিভাগীয় মন্ত্রী, রাজ্যের মুখ্য সচিব ছাড়াও কুড়ি জনের এই পরিষদে সমাজের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রের প্রতিষ্ঠিত ব্যক্তিদের মনোনীত করা হয়েছে। তবে ড. জয়শ্রী দে-ই একমাত্র সদস্য, যিনি বরাক উপত্যকা থেকে মনোনীত হয়েছেন।

এদিকে মর্যাদাপূর্ণ শ্রীমন্ত শংকরদেব কলাক্ষেত্র সোসাইটির সদস্য মনোনীত হওয়ায় ড. দে’কে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানিয়েছেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ ও নিবন্ধক ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ। উভয়েই আশা প্রকাশ করে বলেছেন, ড. দে’র এই নতুন দায়িত্ব তাঁকে রাজ্যের সাংস্কৃতিক পরিমণ্ডলে আরও বেশি করে কাজ করার সুযোগ এনে দেবে। প্রসঙ্গত, ড. জয়শ্রী দে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক হিসেবে কর্মরত।

Way2barak, 12 October : Dr. Joyashri Dey, Assistant Professor of Assam University has been nominated as a member of Shrimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra Society, Guwahati. Her term as a member of the society’s general council will be for five years. The formation of this new general council of Kalakshetra Society has been announced in a notification issued recently by Pallavi Phukan, Secretary, Ministry of Cultural affairs, Govt of Assam.

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is the president of the newly formed council. Apart from the cultural affairs minister and the state’s chief secretary, established people from various walks of life have been nominated in this twenty-member council. However, Dr. Joyashri Dey is the only member who has been nominated from the Barak Valley.

Meanwhile, being nominated as a member of the prestigious Shrimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra Society, Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajive Mohan Pant and Registrar Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath have congratulated to Dr. Dey. Both expressed hope that this new responsibility of Dr. Dey will give him the opportunity to work more in the cultural sphere of the state. Noted that, Dr. Joyashri Dey is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Social Work at Assam University.
