Door to door awareness on Covid-19 carried on by ASHA workers in Hailakandi

May 9: In the midst of rising number of coronavirus cases in the state, the main weapon to keep people safe is to increase awareness among them. As such, door to door awareness campaign for COVID-19 is going on at Hailakandi district along with the rest of Assam. The field level ASHA workers are visiting daily door to door in their respective village areas and distributing leaflets consisting of information regarding do’s and don’ts, for the Covid positive patients and also the rules of home isolation.

Further, the leaflets also contained information containing COVID-19 and also how a Covid positive person after recovery can donate plasma to save another life. The ASHA workers on visiting the homes are also explaining the importance of wearing mask, avoiding crowded places and maintaining hygiene in this pandemic period, which are the key to remain safe.
