District Programme Officer of Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission caught while taking bribe

way2barak, Aug. 26: The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Wing of Assam on Friday caught a District Programme Officer (DPO) red-handed at Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission while receiving a bribe in the Assam’s Dhubri district. On the same day, Anti-corruption cell caught red- handed one Ranjit Goswami, employee of Karimganj Circle office.

The corrupt official of Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission, Dhubri was identified as Azharul Islam who has arrested red handed while accepting demanded money for releasing outstanding salary of the complainant.

Taking to his twitter handle, Special DGP Assam, GP Singh wrote, “Sri Azharul Islam District Programme Officer, Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission, Dhubri has been trapped and arrested red handed today by team of @DIR_VAC _ASSAM while accepting demanded money for releasing outstanding salary of the complainant.”
