ওয়ে টু বরাক, ১১ এপ্রিল ঃ ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতির কাছাড় জেলা কমিটির এক সভা শিলচর রাধামাধব কলেজের কনফারেন্স হলে আয়োজিত হয়। কাছাড় জেলা কমিটির সভানেত্রী তথা আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইতিহাস বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপিকা সুপর্ণা রায়ের পৌরোহিত্যে আয়োজিত সভায় অখিল ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন যোজনার রাষ্ট্রীয় সাধারণ সম্পাদক হেমন্ত ধিং মজুমদার, ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতির আসাম প্রদেশ কমিটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক ড. নীলাঞ্জন দে, কাছাড় জেলা কমিটির কার্যকরী সভাপতি রজং নার্জারি, সহ-সভাপতি ড. গঙ্গেশ ভট্টাচার্য, সম্পাদক ড. জয়দীপ গোস্বামী, লেখক প্রমুখ ড. মুন্নি দেব মজুমদার, সমিতির দুই উপদেষ্টা আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কলেজ ডেভলপমেন্ট কাউন্সিলের প্রাক্তন ডিরেক্টর ড. বিভাস দেব, রাধামাধব কলেজের অধ্যক্ষ ড. দেবাশিস রায় সহ অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তারা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

সভায় কাছাড় জেলার বিভিন্ন কলেজ ও অন্যান্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। অধ্যাপক সুপর্ণা রায় বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতির জেলা কমিটির বিগত ছয় মাসে গ্রহণ করা বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপের কথা তুলে ধরেন। সঠিকভাবে ভারতের ইতিহাস জানার প্রয়োজনীয়তার কথা ব্যক্ত করেন তিনি। কাছাড় জেলা কমিটির গ্রহণ করা বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপের কথা তুলে ধরেন ড. জয়দীপ গোস্বামী।

বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে ড. নীলাঞ্জন দে প্রতিটি স্থানের সঙ্গে জড়িত রয়েছে ইতিহাস। সেইসব স্থানের জাতি, সংস্কৃতি এবং পরম্পরার ঐতিহ্য নিয়ে আলোচনা করার লক্ষ্যে কাজ করছে ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতি। স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামে বিপ্লবী উল্লাসকর দত্তের অবদানের কথা তুলে ধরেন তিনি। তিনি বলেন, স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা থাকলেও বিপ্লবী উল্লাসকর দত্তের সেইসব অবদানের কথা জনগণের সামনে এখন পর্যন্ত সঠিকভাবে পৌঁছেনি। বিপ্লবী উল্লাসকর দত্ত সহ স্থানীয় স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রামীদের অবদানের কথা তথ্য সমৃদ্ধভাবে লিপিবদ্ধ করে জনগণের কাছে তুলে ধরার লক্ষ্যে কাজ করছে ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতি।

সভায় বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে অখিল ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন যোজনার রাষ্ট্রীয় সাধারণ সম্পাদক হেমন্ত ধিং মজুমদার বলেন, প্রতিটি স্থান, জাতি, সংস্কৃতি, ভাষার নিজস্ব পরম্পরা ও ঐতিহ্য রয়েছে। কিন্তু বিগত দিনে সেইসব পরম্পরার কথা সঠিকভাবে জনগণের সামনে তুলে ধরা হয়নি। সেইসব ঐতিহ্যের কথা তথ্য ও অনুসন্ধানের মাধ্যমে লিপিবদ্ধ করে জনগণের কাছে তুলে ধরার লক্ষ্যেই কাজ করছে ভারতীয় ইতিহাস সংকলন সমিতি। ইতিহাস চর্চার প্রয়োজনীয়তার কথা তুলে ধরেন তিনি।

Way2barak, April 11 : A meeting of the Cachar District Committee of the Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti was held on monday evening at the conference hall of Radhamadhab College, Silchar. The meeting was presided over by Professor Suparna Roy, Chairperson of the Cachar District Committee and Head of the Department of History, Assam University. Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar, State General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sanklan Yojana, Dr. Nilanjan Dey, General Secretary of the Assam Pradesh Committee of the Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Rajang Narzari, Working President of Cachar District Committee, Dr. Gongesh Bhattacharjee,Vice president of Cachar District Committee and others of the Cachar District Committee including Dr. Joydeep Goswami General Secretary, Dr. Munni Deb Majumder, Lekhok Promukh and two advisors Dr. Bibhas Deb, Former Director, College Development Council, Assam University, Dr. Debasish Roy, Principal of Radhamadhab College and other officials were present. Teachers from various colleges and other educational institutions of Cachar district also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, Professor Suparna Roy highlighted the various steps taken by the District Committee in the last six months and expressed the need to know the history of India correctly. Dr.Joydeep Goswami also spoke about the various steps taken by the Cachar District Committee.

Dr. Nilanjan Dey, discussed how the Bharaya Itihas Sankalan Samiti have been working. He also highlighted the contribution of Ullaskar Dutta of Silchar in the freedom struggle of India. He laid emphasis on highlighting the contribution of Ullaskar Dutta to the people. Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti have been working to highlight the contribution of local freedom fighters, including Ullaskar Dutta and present them properly to the public.

Hemanta Dhing Mazumdar, National General Secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana spoke about how every place, race, culture, and language has its own traditions and how the Samiti have been working to record those traditions and present them to the people through information and research. He also highlighted the necessity of studying history.
