Dholeswari, Katakhal & Barak- all rivers flowing much above the danger level

June 19: Due to incessant rainfall since the last few days, the water level of all major rivers here has again started to rise and crossed the danger level.

  1. As per report received from Assam Water Resource Department, river Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar at 10 AM on Sunday, was flowing above the danger level and was recorded at 21.22 metres. The danger level at this point is 19.83 metre. The water level is increasing at 03 cm per hour.

  1. As per report received from DDMA, Hailakandi, River Dholeswari at Gharmura was flowing above the danger level and was recorded at 28.66 metres at 9 AM. The danger level at this point is 28.05 metre. The water level is increasing at 06 cm per hour.

  1. As per report received from DDMA, Hailakandi, River Katakhal at Matijuri was flowing above the danger level and was recorded at 21.08 metres at 9 AM. The danger level at this point is 20.27 metre. The water level is increasing at 02 cm per hour.
