Dhaga to organise inter-school competition INVIERNO 2021 on 22, 23 & 28 December

Dec. 15: Dhaga, a Silchar based NGO is going to host its upcoming event, INVIERNO 2021 to be held on 22, 23 & 28 December, 2021. This is an inter-school competition comprising of various sports and other activities which will be held in Delhi Public School, Silchar. The closing event will be held on 28 December, 2021 at Rajiv Bhawan. Renowned band “TRAP” from Kolkata will be performing during the ceremony. This was stated in a press release issued by Tanika Das, President of Dhaga.

“League of the Legends” is our first set of events scheduled to be held on 22nd and 23rd of December 2021 at Delhi Public School, Silchar. This is an inter-school event, a league between all the best schools of Silchar and even beyond. Students from classes 7 to 12 can participate in various events that we’ve hand-picked & carefully curated to test the “gray matter” of our participants, because “Gray Matter Actually Matters,” said Tanika Das.

The list of curated events is:

  • Quiztopher Columbus- Inter-School Quiz Contest
  • Byomkesh Academy- Crime Scene Investigation
  • Roadies- A battle of wit, perseverance and determination
  • Spell Buzz- An English Spell Bee Competition
  • Scientifica- To test Science and Aptitude of participants
  • Bizz-Boss- Entrepreneurial Skills for young entrepreneurs
  • Shaazm- A Surprise Event for winners of various events
  • Cyberfare (BGMI)- Battleground Mobile India for online gaming
  • Kaarvan- Inter-School Music Contest
  • Slow Cycle Race- To test the balance while cycling really slow.
  • 4X4 Relay Race- Relay circuit race for a team of 4
  • Tug of War- Traditional pull the rope between two teams
  • Get Set Groove- Inter-school modern dance off between teams
  • Naach Rang- Inter-school traditional dance off between individuals

“We are already getting huge response in these contents and we expect mass participation. All the contestants will be given participation certificate and winners will be awarded with prizes as well. The school with the highest number of winning positions will be titled with “Best School Award”. The two days of events will also highlight various other events like martial arts showcase and several food stalls,” added Tanika Das, President of Dhaga.

Dhaga is a Non-Governmental Organization, registered with the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India. Since its inception in 2019 it has been working on various socio-cultural projects and events, from open mics to the distribution of clothes, blankets and food for the needy. Dhaga is also associated with the District Administration for several projects at Cachar. Their next event “INVIERNO” is something that they have been planning for since a very long time and claims to be an exceptional one.
