১০ মার্চ: থানার ব্যারাকে মিলল হাবিলদারের ঝুলন্ত দেহ। নিহত ইবতন সিংহ শনিবার রাত ১টা পর্যন্ত জিরিঘাট থানায় ডিউটি করেন । পরে ভালো লাগছে না বলে সহকর্মীদের জানিয়ে ব্যারাকে চলে যান। আজ সকালে তার ঝুলন্ত দেহ উদ্ধার হয়।

পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, আত্মহত্যা করেছেন ইবতন। কারণ জানা যায়নি। তবে তাঁর একমাত্র শিশুকন্যা অনেকদিন থেকে অসুস্থ। প্রচুর টাকা খরচ করে তার চিকিৎসা করাচ্ছেন। এর মধ্যে আবার জন্ডিস ধরা পড়েছে তার। অন্য কারণও খতিয়ে দেখছে পুলিশ।

March 10: The dead body of a constable was recovered from inside the barrack of a police station in hanging position. The deceased constable Ibatan Singh was on duty at Jirighat Police Station till 11 PM on Saturday. Afterwards, on the pretext of not feeling well, he went to the barrack. On Sunday morning, he was found hanging inside the barrack.

Police has informed that Ibatan has committed suicide. However, the cause of suicide was not yet ascertained. His only girl child is ill since a long time. He spent a huge lot of money in the treatment of his daughter. Recently, she was detected with jaundice. Police is investigating all other angles of this incident.
