DC Keerthi Jalli inaugurates ‘Mahalla Clinic’ in Cachar

Clinic will remain open every fortnightly providing unending medical services to the inhabitants

March 28: Cachar Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli on Sunday, inaugurated a healthcare facility “Mahalla Clinic” in Madhupur under Udharbond Assembly constituency in Cachar district under the Chief Minister’s Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana (AAGY).

Introduced in the year 2018-19, the AAGY aims at holistic, all-round development of villages in the state and to empower the villages towards self-sustainable development. The prime objective of the scheme is to create model villages where good quality public services – in terms of sanitation facilities, roads, drainage, electricity, drinking water, schools, healthcare institutions are provided to all the citizens.

On Sunday afternoon, DC Keerthi Jalli visited Madhupur and inaugurated the clinic in the presence of the district development commissioner, Cachar, Rajib Roy, senior planning officer, Planning & Development Branch, Ruli Daulagupu, block development officer, Udharbond, Sushimta Dam, assistant executive engineer, Udharbond block, Bappa Paul and other accompanying officers from the district administration and the concerned block.

As per information, the Clinic will remain open every fortnightly providing unending medical services to the inhabitants of the locality. Sharing her reaction, DC Jalli urged that every village under the CM’s Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana should embrace the initiative for easy access to medical assistance by the populace of the concerned areas.

She said this sort of initiative will not only help women and children in the area but also will help in enhancement of health condition of the ailing inhabitants who have been deprived of proper and timely treatment since long.
Now, the clinic at the doorway will put an end to the sufferings of the local people and will act as a resistance to the demise due to non-receipt of treatment on time, the DC said.

District Development Commissioner , Rajib Roy and Senior Planning Officer planning & Development Branch, Ruli Daulagupu also made relevant speeches on the occasion. A health check up camp was also conducted on the occasion wherein five anemic patients were treated by Sub -Divisional Medical & Health officer, Dr Arup Kumar Patoa and other health officials.

Later, DC Jalli inspected other schemes like construction of Anganwadi centres, schools, roads and projects on Water Conservation under the CM’s Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana in the village. The deputy commissioner also encouraged the entire team of Cachar related to the CM’s Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana for their efforts towards implementation of the scheme.
