1 found Covid +ve in Karimganj district of Assam on Friday; 1 discharged & active cases 6 in the state

May 6: On Friday, out of 325 tests, 01 person was detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,24,218. The one positive case was detected from Karimganj district. The positivity rate in the state is 0.31 percent. Further, on Friday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.90 percent. 01 person was discharged during the day. There are at present 06 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 01 person tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
