DC Cachar reviews major infrastructure projects

Way2barak, May 22 : In a proactive move towards bolstering infrastructure development in the district, Mridul Yadav, the District Commissioner of Cachar, conducted an inspection on thursday of the ongoing construction works of the Integrated District Commissioner’s Office Building and the Circuit House. The visit aimed to assess the pace and quality of the construction under progress. During the inspection, the District Commissioner engaged with the concerned officials on-site and emphasized the urgency of timely completion, directing all departments involved to accelerate the construction work without compromising on standards.
On the same day, the Cachar district administration witnessed another key development initiative as Dr. Dhrubajyoti Hazarika, Additional District Commissioner, chaired a significant meeting of the District Utility Shifting Committee. Held under his leadership, the meeting focused on detailed deliberations regarding the relocation of Public Health Engineering (PHE) pipelines, a crucial step in facilitating seamless infrastructure expansion in the district.

The discussions were held in close coordination with various stakeholder departments, reflecting a comprehensive, inter-agency approach to resolving utility-related challenges. Present at the meeting were Anjali Kumari, Assistant Commissioner of Cachar, along with representatives from the PHE department, Public Works Department (Roads), Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), AMRUT, NHIDCL, and Purba Bharati Gas Agency, among others. The collaborative spirit and detailed planning that marked the session underscored the district administration’s commitment to ensuring that infrastructure upgrades proceed in harmony with utility services, avoiding disruptions and delays.

These two important developments underscore the Cachar administration’s determined push towards infrastructural modernization and inter-departmental synergy, reinforcing its mission of responsive governance and rapid development.
