DC Cachar holds review meeting on implementation of PMEGP and SVAYEM

February 28: A District level review meeting on implementation of PMEGP and SVAYEM scheme was held on Friday at the conference hall of office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Cachar. The meeting was presided over by DC Barnali Sarma, who is also the Chairperson of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC).

In the meeting, General manager of DIC informed that so far 22 proposals have been sanctioned against the target of 49 numbers of KVIC. Again, 24 proposals were sanctioned against the target of 58 beneficiaries and 6 proposals have been sanctioned as against the target of 37 KVIC.

Deputy Commissioner Barnali Sharma expressed her deep dissatisfaction over the excess sanctions of PMEGP beneficiaries against the government allotted target by the DLTFC. She also informed that all the applicants who have been selected by the DLFC will remain suspended except 54 proposals which are already disbursed by different branches of nationalised banks.

DC Cachar advised the General Manager of DIC, Lead District Manager Arunjoyti Dey and other officials present in the meeting to be remain present on 29 February for a review of the whole process at her conference hall.  District Development Commissioner Jessica Lalsim and Additional Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattawan were also present in the meeting.
