Cycle Rally to mark national integration taken out by BSF from Agartala reach Cachar

way2barak, Nov.9: To mark the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence, the Border Security Force (BSF) has kick- started a “Cycle Rally” on 1 November, 2022, which has been flagged off from ICP Akhaura, Border Security Force, Tripura Frontier, Agartala.

The “Cycle Rally”, after crossing the State of Tripura, have reached the area of Mizoram & Cachar Frontier at Border Out Post Karkhanaputni, 134 Battalion BSF on 7th Nov 2022 where the DIG, Sector Silchar along with Officers and other ranks welcomed the Cyclists participating in Cycle Rally. A cultural programme and interaction with civil dignitaries was organized at Border Out Post at Lathitilla, 134 Battalion BSF.

This rally will further proceed all along border area upto Border Out Post Balichera, 1st Battalion BSF on 10 Nov 2022 before entering further in Meghalaya Frontier AoR. The Cycle Rally will finally go up to final destination at Tagorevilla, Kolkata, West Bangal on 12 Dec, 2022 after covering all other BSF Frontier border areas, i.e, Tripura, Meghalaya, Guwahati, North Bengal & South Bengal.

The objective of this Cycle Rally is to spread awareness of national integration, exhibit friendship and amity, to create a sense of security among border population, to stop trans-border crimes and spread message of the ill-effects of drugs use, encouraging use of bicycle as eco-friendly conveyance by common people in daily life, to protect our environment and to ensure peace, harmony and tranquility along the border.
