CRPF personnel donate 100 units of blood in a camp organised by Lions Club of Silchar City

April 19: A voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the Lions Club of Silchar City. The said blood donation camp was organised on Tuesday by the Lions at 87 Battalion, CRPF headquarters, Jiribam in collaboration with Blood Bank of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH).

A total of 100 CRPF personnel of the 87 Battalion, Jiribam donated 100 units of blood. This is the highest number of units of blood donated at a time in a single camp in Assam since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The blood donation camp was organised in the memory of Martyr N. Manoranjan Singh, Assistant Commandant and Martyr CT/GD Surjit Singh.
