Covishield to be administered at 3 centres in Silchar on 23 July

July 21: After a gap of two days, vaccination drive will once again take place in Silchar town on 23 July, 2021. Issuing an order to this effect, Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on 22 July stated that both online and on-spot vaccination session for those above 18 years of age will take place at 3 centres in Silchar on Friday, where only Covishield will be provided.

The 3 vaccination centres are:

1. Nazirpatty Model School: Only 2nd dose vaccines will be provided on the basis of online booking. A total of 300 doses of Covishield will be provided in this school on 23 July.
2. Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Chandmari Silchar: Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (100 shots) will be given on the basis of online slot booking. Again, both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (100 shots) will be provided on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 400 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 23 July.
3. Durga Sankar Patshala, Ambicapatty: Here too, both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (100 shots) will be given on the basis of online slot booking. Again, both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (100 shots) will be provided on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 400 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 23 July.
