Covid +ve patient from Sarat Pally, Silchar dies at SMCH on Monday night

April 26:  On Monday another Covid-19 positive patient died at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) at 5 PM. The deceased Fatima Begum from Kaliganj Bazar in Karimganj district was admitted at SMCH on 18 April, 2021. The patient was on ventilator since 18 April. Finally, she breathed her last today.

After three hours of the death of Fatima Begum, another Covid-19 positive patient expired at Silchar Medical College & Hospital on Monday. The deceased was identified as Debobrata Dey (56), who is a resident of Sarat Pally, Silchar. He was admitted at SMCH on 24 April with fever cough and dyspnoea. He was also a case of Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetis Mellitus presented with fever, dry cough, myalgia and breathlessness. His immediate cause of death is Covid Pneumonia. He breathed his last at 7.55 PM on 26 April. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH.
