Covid vaccines to be administered at 7 centres in Silchar on 13 September

Sept. 12: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Sunday stated that on-spot vaccination session will take place at seven centres in Silchar on Monday. Out of the seven centres, Covishield will be administered in 6 places whereas Covaxin will be provided at only 1 centre. A total of 2,700 doses of Covishield and 200 doses of Covaxin will be administered on 13 September in Silchar town.

The 5 vaccination centres where Covishield will be provided are:

1. SM Dev Civil Hospital, Silchar: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (300 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 500 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 13 September.
2. Sishu Mandir School, Malinibil: Here, both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (300 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 500 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 13 September.
3. Surja Kumar School, END Colony, Tarapur: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (300 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 500 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 13 September.
4. Nazirpatty Model School: Here, both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 400 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 13 September.
5. Rash Bihari LP School, Rongpur: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 400 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 13 September.
6. Sarvoday LP School, Sarat Pally, Sonai Road: Both 1st dose (200 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 400 doses of Covishield will be given in this centre on 13 September.

Apart from this, COVAXIN will be provided in the following centre:

1. Urban PHC, Trunk Road, Near Annapurna Ghat:  Only 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration to those belonging to the 18 plus category. That means, a total of 200 doses of Covaxin will be given in this centre on 13 September.
