Covid on the rise: 52 found +ve in Cachar on Tuesday, 185 active cases in the district

July 26: The District Health Department updated the Covid-19 data of Tuesday. As per the latest data, 52 persons (09 RT-PCR & 43 RAT) were found positive in the district on 26 July, 2022. At present, 185 positive patients in the district have opted for home isolation & 02 have taken admission in hospitals. Further, 27 persons were discharged during the day.

As per the updated data, a total of 483 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 43 persons were found positive, whereas 09 were detected positive out of 13 RT-PCR Tests. With this, the total number of active Covid cases stands at 185. It needs mention here that on Monday, 10 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar district.

During this phase (1 July, 2022 onwards) till now 437 positive cases were detected and 251 were discharged in the district of Cachar. During this phase, 01 death was registered. The deceased, a resident of Silchar died at GNRC, Guwahati.

District Administration Cachar in a message stated, “Public is requested to adhere to all COVID 19 protocols and keep themselves safe, as CoVID 19 cases have started creeping up again.”
