Covid on the rise: 210 found +ve in Assam on Tuesday, active cases 810 in the state

July 6: On Tuesday, out of 2,070 tests, 210 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,25,481. The positivity rate in the state is 10.14 percent. Out of the 210 positive cases, 98 were detected from Kamrup Metro, 26 from Kamrup Rural, 19 from Dibrugarh and 14 from Darrang.

Further, on Tuesday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.79 percent. 110 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,683 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 810 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 161 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
