Corona vaccine is totally safe, don’t believe in rumours, says Padmashri Dr. Ravi Kannan

Feb. 8: “There has been numerous rumours about the safety of coronavirus vaccine in media. These are totally baseless. A wide range of data is available with us, which affirms the safety of the vaccine.” This was asserted by Padmashri Dr. Ravi Kannan in a video message posted by District Administration Cachar in their official Facebook page on Monday. Dr. Kannan is a renowned oncologist and Director of Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Silchar.

Dr. Kannan further said, “Even the top experts of India have asserted the fact that the vaccine is totally safe. In our Cancer Hospital, there are 360 staff and till now more than 300 of them have taken the 1st shot of the vaccine. So far, none of our staff has faced any problem, who have been vaccinated.”

“I earnestly appeal that all should go and get themselves vaccinated once their turn arrives. This will not only keep you safe, but also the society and the country will be safe. It is also our duty to get vaccinated,” added Dr. Kannan.
