CM Sarbananda Sonowal on a two-day visit to Barak Valley
Dec.22: Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal is on a two-day visit to Barak Valley. On his arrival at Kumbhirgram Airport, Silchar from Guwahati by a special flight on Tuesday, Chief Minister Sonowal will proceed to Karimganj.
After a night’s halt at Karimganj, the Chief Minister will attend a party meeting at DSA Ground on Wednesday morning and then head towards Hailakandi where he will attend a review meeting of important government projects and schemes of various departments with the Deputy Commissioners, District Development Commissioners, Chief Executive Officers of Zilla Parishad and heads of line departments of Hailakandi, Cachar and Karimganj districts at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall in Hailakandi in the afternoon.
Following the review meeting, Chief Minister Sonowal will proceed to Karimganj again to attend the state executive committee meeting at DSA Ground. The Chief Minister will then proceed to Kumbhirgram Airport in the evening from where he will board the special flight to Mohanbari Airport, Dibrugarh.
On Friday, Chief Minister Sonowal will again arrive in Silchar to attend the convocation of Assam University and to unveil the statue of former Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary observed as ‘Good Governance Day.’
