CM Himanta Biswa Sarma meets PM Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday
June 2: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. This was his first visit to the Prime Minister since he became the Chief Minister of Assam. In a tweet, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “In past 7 yrs Assam has seen unprecedented growth & prosperity. PM Sri @narendramodiji has been very kind & benevolent in his blessings to people of Assam and gifted us with numerous development projects. Today I sought Hon PM guidance on the way ahead for us.” The Chief Minister is supposed to stay in Delhi up to 3 May. Union Health Minister Dr Harsha Vardhan

Earlier, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Finance Minnister Nirmala Sitaraman. He was accompanied by Minister of State Rameswar Teli.
