CM Assam to arrive at Silchar on Tuesday morning, Pijush Hazarika reaches Silchar
July 26: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has taken a serious note of the violence that erupted in the Assam Mizoram border on Monday in which 6 jawans of Assam Police lost their lives, while several others were injured as Mizoram forces started firing bullets. Meanwhile, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has informed that Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma will be arriving in Silchar on Tuesday early morning.
The Chief Minister who is at present in an official tour in Haflong will reach Silchar Airport in a helicopter at 7.50 AM on 27 July. He will be there to take stock of the violent situation at Lailapur in Assam Mizoram border.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister after the incident had directed his cabinet colleague Pijush Hazarika to go to Silchar. As per reports, Minister Pijush Hazarika has reached Silchar and gone straight to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH). He met the injured and asked the doctors to offer their best service in treating the injured policemen.
