CM Assam meets President Kobind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, invites him to visit Kaziranga
July 2: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma met President of India Ramnath Kobind at Rastrapati Bhavan on Friday. Dr Sarma invited President Kobind to visit Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Taking to his twitter handle, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Today I called on Mahamahim Rashtrapati Sri Ramnath Kovind ji at President House. I am extremely proud to have received Hon President’s blessings & guidance. I extended an invitation to him to kindly grace us with his visit to Assam and see Kaziranga.”

Earlier, the chief minister also met union home minister Amit Shah in New Delhi. Apart from the Home Minister, CM Sharma also met CM Nagaland Neiphiu Rio and discussed issues of mutual interest and how the two governments can work together and collaborate on strategic matters including border management & development. Dr Sarma also met Union Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, Prahlad Joshi and Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani.
