Khageswar Pegu takes charge as Karimganj DC

May 20: Khageswar Pegu, a 1992 batch ACS Officer, took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj district on Thursday. Pegu replaces Anbamuthan MP, a 2014 batch IAS Officer, who had been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri. Pegu is the 38th Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj.

The outgoing Deputy Commissioner served as Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj for almost one year and eight months. The process of handing and taking over charge was carried out in the forenoon at Deputy Commissioner’s office chamber in the presence of senior officials of the administration.

Prior to this posting as Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj, Pegu was the Deputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur. The new Deputy Commissioner was felicitated by District Development Commissioner, Vikram Dev Sharma and other officials of the administration.
