Chief Minister distributes Appointment Letters to LP & UP school teachers in Guwahati

August 28: The ceremonial distribution of Appointment Letters to Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Prmary (UP) school teachers will took place on Friday at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati. The programme graced by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was also attended by State Education Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Minister of State for Education, Bhabesh Kalita and other top officials.

Expressing his reactions, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “My heartiest congratulations and wishes to 5319 teachers of LP & UP Schools under DEE, Assam. I have had the privilege of ceremonially handing over their appointment letters at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra today along with the Hon’ble Chief Minister and MoS Education.” The minister further stated that appointment of high school teachers will begin in September. He added, “In September, 10 thousand more teachers will get appointment. Five thousand vacant posts in Sarba Siksha will be filled up.”

In his speech, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulated the new appointed teachers who had cleared Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) in Assam. He said that more teachers will be appointed in the month of September. The Chief Minister said that his government has kept the promises it made to the people.

It needs mention here that in the first phase, 5,319 primary teachers will be appointed. The other selected candidates can download their appointment letters fromhttps://dee.assam.gov.in.
