Cachar ranks among top 3 as ‘Best Performing District’, Guardian Minister hands over award to DC Keerti Jalli
May 8: It’s yet another feather in the cap of Cachar district administration. Cachar has carved a niche for itself in the entire state by securing rank among the top three ‘Best performing District’ in PMAY and PM SVANidhi 50 days challenge by DoHUA. The awards were handed over to Deputy Commissioner Cachar, Keerthi Jalli in a function held at Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium located within the Srimanta Kalashetra, Guwahati on 8 May, 2022.
Cachar secured 3rd position as ‘Best performing District’ under PM SVANidhi 50 days challenge. Bongaigaon and Dhemaji achieved 1st and 2nd position respectively in the 50 days challenge. Based on the performance of all districts and ULBs during the 50 days assessment period, the winners of the ” PM SVANidhi 50 Days Challenge” were determined. Apart from the “Best Performing District,” “Individual Awards” were also given to tree best performing Executive Officers cum CPOs among 25 HQ ULBs (Group I).
As per the performance evaluated of all Districts/ ULBsDAs from 1 January, 2022 till 19 February, 2022, under the winners of the 50 Days Challenge, the following winners were announced:
A. District Level Award Category (Top 3 Performing Districts):
- Rank 1: Karimganj District
- Rank 2: Cachar District
- Rank 3: Udalguri District
B. ULP Level Award Category for Top 3 Performing ULBs of Group A (ULBs with more than 1000 approved beneficiaries):
- Rank 1: Karimganj MB/ DA
- Rank 2: Silchar MB/ DA
- Rank 3: Dhubri MB
C. ULB Level Award Category for Top 3 Performing ULBs of Group B (ULBs with less than 1000 approved beneficiaries):
- Rank 1: Lakhipur MP (Cachar District)
- Rank 2: Sivasagar MB
- Rank 3: Margherita MB
Expressing her views, DC Cachar, Keerthi Jalli said, “This is indeed a great achievement to note that Cachar has earned position as ‘Best performing District’ under PM SVANidhi 50 days challenge. Today, as the Guardian Minister handed over the award, I would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every employee associated with this project as well as the beneficiaries. I am hopeful that the beneficiaries were able to usher in a meaningful change in their livelihood. It’s a long road to go and we are hopeful of much better performances in the near future.”
Regarding this as a great achievement, Silchar MP Dr Rajdeep Roy and MLA Dipayan Chakraborty showered lavish praises upon the Deputy Commissioner and her entire team for the effort put in by them to earn accolades for Cachar. They too assured all sorts of assistance to take Cachar to the pinnacle in its holistic aspect.
