Cachar district committee of ‘Swadeshi Jagaran Mancha’ constituted
Jan. 8: The Cachar district committee of ‘Swadeshi Jagaran Mancha’ formed on Friday at the residence of Rajya Sanjojok Ravi Kumar Patwa in presence of Akhil Bharatiya Sangharsh Vahini Promukh of Swadeshi Jagaran Mancha, Annada Shankar Panigrahi. The committee will initiate the swadeshi movement in Cachar and spearhead a campaign to promote awareness of indigenous goods and help businesses to work towards the realisation of that motive.
The committee was formed with Santanu Sutradhar as Cachar Jila Sanjojok, Samrat Dutta as Sohor Sanjojok, Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha as Prachar Promukh, Manish Kumath as Samparka Promukh, Pramod Sharma and Rajat Baran Dam as members.
Annada Shankar Panigrahi- Akhil Bharatiya Sangharsh Vahini Promukh of Swadeshi Jagaran Mancha (SJM) briefed about the aims and objectives of the mancha and highlighted the many agitations and movements by SJM for safeguarding the interest of indigenous trade and businesses which provide livelihood to crores of people all throughout the nation. He also emphasised upon boycotting the goods produced by China and adopt the indigenous products which will not only help in the equilateral distribution of wealth but also strengthen the economy and security of India.
The Swadeshi Jagaran Manch is a political and cultural organisation founded in 1991. It is an affiliate of the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh that deals with economic issues. Representatives of five national level organisations including BMS, ABVP, BKS, Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat (ABGP) & Sahkar Bharatitook this decision in the presence of Dottopant Thengdi, founder of BMS. Promotion of Swadeshi products, arranging help in development of professionals, cultural & value oriented Indian Corporate Structure, a monthly magazine in Hindi as well as in English, intellectual support center and awards to master craftsmen & producers for excellent Swadeshi Products are some of the dimensions in which SJM has worked.
