Cachar district BJP forms human chain at Church Road like that of divider in demand of proper traffic management

May 2: Traffic congestion has now become one of the marked features of Silchar town. Everyday long queue of vehicles could be noticed in almost all the major streets of the town. Even lanes and by-lanes witness vehicular traffic. Moreover, with the onset of rainy season, the problem of traffic congestion has increased manifold. It is in this connection that Cachar District BJP on Monday formed a human chain at Curch Road, Silchar. The human chain was formed like that of a divider so that the traffic movement could take place in a disciplined manner.

The human chain led by Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, BJP district President Bimaendu Roy was also joined by Rajesh Kumar Das, Debasish Shome and many other BJP leaders and supporters.

It needs mention here that in mid-April, 2022, a delegation of Cachar district BJP met Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Ramdeep Kaur in her office and discussed at length about the issue of traffic jam in Silchar town.

The BJP delegation was led by its district President Bimalendu Roy, who was accompanied by senior leader Nityabhushan Dey, Vice President Amio Kanti Das, General Secretary Jhalak Chakraborty among others. At the end of the discussion, BJP leaders informed that they had a fruitful discussion with the Police Super and were hopeful of a positive outcome for management of traffic in the town. District BJP also met the Executive Officer of Silchar Municipal Board in this connection.
