Cachar Cancer Hospital to get new ambulance from Airport Authority
February 6: In a significant development, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed on Wednesday between the Cachar District Administration and Airport authority of India in the conference hall of the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar.

As per the MOA, a financial assistance to the tune of around Rs. 14 lakh will be provided by the Airport Authority of India under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) scheme. With this amount, an ambulance will be purchased for Cachar Cancer Hospital.This is the only hospital in the valley which is dedicated for the sole treatment of Cancer patients since its inception.
Laya Madduri, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar tweeted: “The MOA has been signed between the Cachar District Administration and Airport Authority of India on 05.02.2019 in the DC Office Conference Hall regarding procurement of Ambulance in respect of Cachar Cancer Hospital.
Apart from the Deputy Commissioner, also present during the signing of MOA were ADC Ranadip Dam, Renowned Oncologist Dr. Ravi Kannan and officials of the Airport Authority of India.
