Cachar BJP calls for protest demonstration on Saturday as against alleged ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan

Nov. 6: Cachar District Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for a protest demonstration on Saturday morning at 11 AM as against the alleged “Pakistan Zindabad” slogan raised during the welcoming of AIUDF supremo Maulana Badar Uddin Ajmal at Silchar Airport on Thursday. The protest demonstration will start from near the district BJP office at Itkhola, Silchar. This was informed by Dipayan Chakraborty, District Vice President of Cachar BJP on Friday night.

A huge controversy have surfaced with allegations of “Pakistan zindabad” slogan by some supporters of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) at Silchar Airport on Thursday while greeting party chief and MP Maulana Badruddin Ajmal. The incident have triggered protests across Assam and multiple FIR’s were lodged including one by Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy. The AIUDF, has, however, denied the allegation and said that party supporters raised the slogan of Aziz Khan Jindabad” (AIUDF MLA of South Karimganj) and not “Pakistan Zindabad” as claimed.

Dipayan Chakraborty while appealing to the people at large to participate in the protest movement on Saturday said, “I on behalf of my party strongly denounce such anti-national slogan raised yesterday in presence of AIUDF supremo. This is a black day in the history of the country. This is the time to save India from the hands of the miscreants. I do believe that police will soon identify the culprits who raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogan. I further demand that Badar Uddin Ajmal should immediately tender resignation from the Parliament or else the BJP workers will compel him to do so. The anti-national forces are up and doing to blemish the efforts of PM Narendra Modi in making India a strong nation. But we will never allow that to happen.”
