Covid scare! All Aadhaar Enrolment Centres in Assam closed

May 15: With a surge in the Covid-19 cases, the Assam government has closed all Aadhaar Enrolment Centres in the state. Issuing an order to this effect, Secretary to the Government of Assam on 14 May wrote, “Considering the rising number of cases of COVID-19 in the state and in view of containing the spread of the pandemic, the general administration department under the Assam government has decided to close all Aadhaar Enrolment Centres in the state with immediate effect upto May 31.”
