BJP President Amit Shah falls from chopper in Mizoram
November 23: Amit Shah, President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) missed his steps and slipped from the chopper. He at once fell down flat on the ground from the chopper. The incident happened while he was about to come out of the chopper at the Tlabung village in West Tuipui constituency of Mizoram. At once, a person ran towards the chopper and helped Mr. Shah to get up from the ground. The BJP President is learnt to have escaped unhurt.
Mr. Shah was there for campaigning in favour of the party candidate. West Tuipui is a stronghold of the Chakma tribe in South Western Mizoram, where the BJP has a fair chance of winning. Mizoram will go to polls on November 28 and the results will be declared on December 11. Mizoram has a total of 7.68 lakh registered voters, out of which 3.74 lakh are men and 3.93 lakh are women.
