2739 new +ve cases in Assam on Thursday; 18 more die due to COVID-19

Sept. 10: On Thursday, 2739 new positive cases were reported in Assam. With this, the state tally has now gone upto 1,35,905, out of which, 31,884 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2739 #COVID cases detected today out of 35369 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 7.74% Kamrup M- 646, Lakhimpur- 259, Dibrugarh- 199, Jorhat- 177.”

Further, the state registered once again 18 deaths due to COVID-19 during the day. With this, the death tally of the state has now gone upto 414.
