“Zero plus zero equal to zero,” Himanta said referring to the Cong-CPM alliance in Tripura

way2barak, Jan 31 : Congress and the CPI-M existence in the country is zero and zero plus zero alliance equal to zero,” Assam Chief Minister and the saffron party’s key strategist in the northeast Himanta Biswa Sarma said here on Monday. He was referring to the pre-poll Congress CPI-M alliance in Tripura and claimed that, “Ruling BJP will get more seats in the February 16 assembly polls than the 2018 assembly polls.”

Sarma and his Manipur counterpart N. Biren Singh, were accompanied the Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha while he was submitting the nomination papers in the Bordowali assembly constituency on the last day of filling candidatures.

The Assam Chief Minister, who campaigned for the BJP in the 2018 assembly polls and already thrice visited the state during the past two months to campaign for the party for the upcoming polls, said that there were fear and pressure among the people earlier but this time absolute peace is prevailing in Tripura due to the good governance of BJP.

“When I visited Tripura before the 2018 assembly polls, there were many red offices (CPI-M offices) in Tripura, but now I have not seen any such red offices in the state.”

He said that this time BJP would get absolute majority on its own.

People would give votes to BJP on the basis of the performance of the Manik Saha led Tripura government and pro-people vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Sarma.
