Barak at Annapurna Ghat still over danger level; flowing at 20.39 mt at 8 PM on Tuesday

The water level is decreasing at 1 cm per hour

June 28: Due to incessant rainfall since the last few days, the water level of river Barak crossed the danger level on 18 June. From 1 AM on Tuesday, the water level of Barak came down from 20.62 mt to 20.39 mt.

As per report received from Assam Water Resource Department, river Barak at Annapurna Ghat, Silchar at 8 PM on Tuesday, was flowing above the danger level and was recorded at 20.39 metres. The danger level at this point is 19.83 metre. The water level is decreasing at 1 cm per hour.

The highest flood level at this point was recorded at 21.763 on 11 September, 2007.
