Assam govt to confer its highest civilian award on Ratan Tata

Dec. 2: Ratan Tata, chairman of the Tata Sons and a renowned industrialist of the country will be conferred Assam’s highest civilian award ‘Asom Bhaibav’. This was informed by Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday.

Taking to his twitter handle, Chief Minister, Assam wrote, “Delighted to announce that the Government of Assam has decided to confer its highest civilian award, Assam Baibhav, to @RNTata2000 Chairman, @tatatrusts for his exceptional contribution towards furthering cancer care in Assam.”
