Badal Dey is unwell, now in ICU

way2barak, Feb 6 : Renowned sports personality Amal kanti Dey (@ Badal Dey) is unwell and taken to the Green Heals Hospital on Monday at around 1.15 am . He was in a state of severe respiratory distress , haemodynamically unstable with very low heart rate and BP. After preliminary assessment, he was admitted under Dr Amit Kalwar and shifted to ICU, put on NIV (non invasive ventilator), vasopressors (medicine). According to cardiologist Dr Ahmed Hussain Choudhury, ECG showed transient heart block because of high K (potassium). As of now , he is off NIV,and vasopressors are being tapered off. Cardiologist has ruled out major cardiac element.
Preliminary diagnosis appears to be case of Pneumonia with sepsis. Further treatment and investigations shall continue.
