Awaz Foundation organises cycle rally as part of awareness programme on World AIDS Day

Dec. 1: Indian Awaz Foundation (IAF) organised a cycle rally as part of their awareness programme on World AIDS Day. World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. The theme for World AIDS Day, 2020 is ‘Ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic: Resilience and Impact.’

The cycle rally on World AIDS Day was organised by Indian Awaz Foundation (IAF) in Karimganj. the activity was conducted with due support of National Health Mission (NHM), Karimganj District.

The rally was flagged off from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj by the DME of NHM and the Director Indian Awaz Foundation. Md. Nazim Ahmed, founder of IAF along with other volunteers and district coordinator took part in this programme. Expressing his views, Md. Nazim Ahmed said, “We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who came forward and participated in the event and made it a successful one.  We would continue to do such activities in the near future and make the people socially aware.”

The Indian Awaz Foundation is an initiative taken by the Indian Awaz team, started by Social Work Professionals and registered under the Companies Act 2013. Speaking to way2barak, Md. Nazim Ahmed said, “We are the voice of communities. Our vision is to educate the needy children residing of the society by helping them to shape their future. The Indian Awaz Team firmly believe that everybody should have a reasonable quality of life. A life in which they need not struggle or suffer to make their ends meet. Our goal is to work on the community as a whole, help improve the ecosystem, make sure that they are free from exploitation and have the ability to cope with life crisis.”
