Atanu Bhattacharjee becomes President of Silchar Town Block Congress Committee

Dec. 9: Former Ward Commissioner Atanu Bhattacharjee has been appointed as the President of Silchar Town Block Congress Committee. In an order issued by Apurba Kumar Bhattacharjee, General Secretary (Admin) of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on 9 December, 2021 stated, “Hon’ble President, Assam PCC Shri Bhupen Kumar Borah has approved to appoint Shri Atantu Bhattacharjee of Silchar Town as the President of Silchar Town Block Congress Committee under Silchar DCC with immediate effect.”

Infact, Sajal Banik, former Municipal Ward Commissioner was the President of Silchar Town Block Congress Committee. However, since he joined TMC, this post fell vacant. Finally, APCC appointed Atanu Bhattacharjee as the new President of Silchar Town Block Congress Committee.
