Assembly Poll: Meeting held by DC Cachar with security agencies on law and order

Feb. 10: A DLCC (C.I) operation meeting was held with the security and intelligence agencies to discuss the present law and order situation in Cachar district and also the steps to be taken on law and order front to ensure free and fair conduct of ensuing Assembly Election. The meeting was chaired by Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar; SP, Cachar, B.L. Meena, Rajib Roy,  ADC Magistracy, Cachar, Ruth Liengthang, ADC I/C Lakhipur, Representatives of CRPF, Assam Rifles, BSF, Air Force, AAI, SIB and others attended the meeting.

In the said meeting, Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli requested the members of all the security and intelligence agencies to gear up for forthcoming Assembly Election and ensure quick sharing of inputs amongst all concerned. She also urged them to exercise area domination in their respective areas of responsibility and intensify their vigil all along the international and inter-state borders to check movement of cash, drugs etc, which may take place with the elections round the corner.
