Assam will achieve 100% electrification by 28 Feb: CM Himanta Biswa

Feb. 13: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma held a review meeting of the power department at Bijulee Bhawan, Guwahati on Sunday. CM Sarma reviewed works of APDCL, APGCL and AEGCL in presence of Power Minister Bimal Borah, Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua and other departmental officials. The Chief Minister after the review meeting declared that by 28 February, Assam will achieve 100 percent electrification. He further stated that the state government will install 6 lakh smart meters to boost revenue and announce new power projects in forthcoming budget.
