Assam University to Hold Thang-Ta Selection Trials on September 30

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৪ সেপ্টেম্বর : ২০২৬–২৭ ক্রীড়াবর্ষে সর্বভারতীয় আন্তঃবিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থাং-টা (পুরুষ ও মহিলা) প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ গ্রহণের জন্য আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের দল গঠনের লক্ষ্যে আগামী ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর খেলোয়াড় বাছাই প্রক্রিয়া আয়োজিত হবে। আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্রীড়া পর্ষদের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এই বাছাই প্রক্রিয়ায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিলচর ক্যাম্পাস, ডিফু ক্যাম্পাস ও অধিভুক্ত কলেজগুলির স্নাতকোত্তর স্তরের আগ্রহী ছাত্রছাত্রীরা অংশ নিতে পারবেন।

এই বাছাই প্রক্রিয়ায় নির্বাচিত খেলোয়াড়রা অল ইন্ডিয়া ইন্টার ইউনিভার্সিটি থাং-টা (পুরুষ ও মহিলা) প্রতিযোগিতা ২০২৬–২৭-এ অংশগ্রহণের জন্য বিবেচিত হবেন। প্রতিযোগিতাটি অল ইন্ডিয়া ইউনিভার্সিটির অধীনে ইম্ফলে অবস্থিত ন্যাশনাল স্পোর্টস ইউনিভার্সিটিতে আগামী ২৬ অক্টোবর থেকে ২৮ অক্টোবর আয়োজিত হবে। আগামী ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর সকাল ১১টা থেকে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় স্পোর্টস কমপ্লেক্সে এই বাছাই ট্রায়াল শুরু হবে। আগ্রহী ছাত্রছাত্রীদের যথাযথ ক্রীড়া সরঞ্জামসহ নির্ধারিত সময়ে উপস্থিত হতে বলা হয়েছে।

ক্রীড়া পর্ষদের এসিস্ট্যান্ট ডিরেক্টর ড. সিদ্ধার্থ শর্মা এক বিবৃতিতে জানিয়েছেন, ট্রায়ালে সন্তোষজনক পারফরম্যান্সের ভিত্তিতে উপযুক্ত খেলোয়াড়দের নিয়ে পরবর্তী পর্যায়ে কোচিং ক্যাম্প আয়োজন করা হবে। চূড়ান্ত নির্বাচনের জন্য যোগ্য বিবেচিত খেলোয়াড়দের কোচিং ক্যাম্পে অংশগ্রহণের জন্য প্রস্তুত থাকতে হবে। পাশাপাশি, ক্যাম্প চলাকালীন কোনও অনুপস্থিতির অনুরোধ ছাড়াই শৃঙ্খলা, সময়ানুবর্তিতা এবং ক্রীড়া পর্ষদের নির্ধারিত নির্দেশিকা ও নিয়মকানুন মেনে চলার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।বাছাই সংক্রান্ত আরও তথ্যের জন্য যোগাযোগ করা যাবে কে আনন্দ কুমার সিংহ (৯৪৩৫৩৭৪৮১৯) ও নিরঞ্জন দাসের (৯৪৩৫৫৬৬২১৬) সঙ্গে।

Way2barak, September 24 : Assam University will conduct player selection trials on September 30 to form its teams for participation in the All India Inter-University Thang-Ta (Men and Women) Championship for the 2026–27 sports season.

Organised by the Assam University Sports Board, the selection trials will be open to interested postgraduate students of the university’s Silchar Campus, Diphu Campus and its affiliated colleges.
Players selected through the trials will be considered for participation in the All India Inter-University Thang-Ta (Men and Women) Championship 2026–27, which will be held at the National Sports University in Imphal under the All India University programme.
The selection trials will commence at 11 a.m. on September 30 at the Assam University Sports Complex. Interested students have been advised to report at the venue on time with the required sports equipment.

In a statement, Assistant Director of the Sports Board, Dr. Siddhartha Sharma, said that based on satisfactory performance in the trials, a coaching camp would subsequently be organised for the shortlisted players. Those found eligible for final selection will be required to attend the coaching camp. They have also been instructed to maintain discipline and punctuality and strictly follow the guidelines, rules and regulations prescribed by the Sports Board, with no requests for absence during the camp.
