Assam Rifles Officials Impressed by Assam University War Museum
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের যুদ্ধ জাদুঘর দেখে মুগ্ধ আসাম রাইফেলসের আধিকারিকরা

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২০ ডিসেম্বর : আসাম রাইফেলসের এক প্রতিনিধি দল শুক্রবার আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থের সঙ্গে সৌজন্যমূলক সাক্ষাৎ করেন। এরপর উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থের নেতৃত্বে প্রতিনিধি দলটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ওয়ার মিউজিয়াম পরিদর্শন করেন।

ভারতের প্রতিরক্ষা বাহিনীর গৌরবময় ইতিহাস, ত্যাগ ও বীরত্বকে নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে তুলে ধরতেই এই জাদুঘর গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। এই জাদুঘরে ঐতিহাসিক যুদ্ধ, বীরত্ব পুরস্কারপ্রাপ্ত সৈনিকদের অবদান, সংরক্ষিত আলোকচিত্র এবং দেশ-বিদেশে প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগকালে ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীর মানবিক সহায়তার বিভিন্ন নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক পন্থ প্রতিনিধি দলকে জানান, জাদুঘরটি শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে দেশপ্রেম জাগ্রত করার পাশাপাশি সশস্ত্র বাহিনীতে যোগ দেওয়ার ব্যাপারেও অনুপ্রাণিত করবে। জাদুঘরে ভারতের স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলন ও জাতি গঠনে আদিবাসী মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ও বীর সেনানিদের অবদানের কথা তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

প্রদর্শনীর গুণগত মান ও নানা ঐতিহাসিক বিষয় উপস্থাপনার জন্য আসাম রাইফেলসের আধিকারিকরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় কর্তৃপক্ষের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। তাঁরা বলেন, সামরিক ইতিহাস ও আদিবাসী বীরদের স্মৃতিকে একত্রে সম্মান জানানো এই উদ্যোগ তরুণ প্রজন্মের মধ্যে দেশপ্রেম, ইতিহাস সচেতনতা ও জাতীয় চেতনা দৃঢ় করতে সহায়ক হবে।

Way2barak, December 20 : A delegation of Assam Rifles officials paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, on Friday. Following the meeting, the delegation, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pant, visited the University’s War Museum.

The museum has been established to present the glorious history, sacrifice, and bravery of India’s defence forces to the younger generation. It houses exhibits on historic battles, the contributions of gallantry award-winning soldiers, preserved photographs, and various displays highlighting the humanitarian assistance provided by the Indian Armed Forces during natural disasters in India and abroad.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pant informed the delegation that the museum would not only instil patriotism among students but also inspire them to join the armed forces. The museum also highlights the contributions of tribal freedom fighters and brave soldiers in India’s freedom struggle and nation-building.

Impressed by the quality of the exhibits and the presentation of diverse historical themes, the Assam Rifles officials lauded the university authorities. They stated that this initiative of jointly honouring military history and the legacy of tribal heroes would help strengthen patriotism, historical awareness, and national consciousness among the younger generation.
