Assam registers 8 more deaths due to COVID-19, tally rises to 286

August 28: On Friday, 8 more COVID-19 deaths were reported from across Assam. With this, the death toll in the state has now gone upto 286. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. the deceased were identified as:

• Sabina Yasmin (38) from Sibsagar
• Subarna Kr Gogoi (63) & Mamoni Boruah (45) from Dibrugarh
• Durgadhar Das (59) from Tinsukia
• Harbinder Singh (49) from Kamrup Metro
• Dipanjoli Kakati (67) & Aman Paul (70) from Golaghat
• Manik Das (80) from Kamrup Rural
