Assam registers 7 more deaths due to COVID-19 on Thursday, toll rises to 896

Oct. 22: On Thursday, another 07 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state due to coronavirus has gone upto 896. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The 07 deceased were identified as:

• Markosh Bhatra (60) of Lakhimpur
• Uma Borah (57) of Tinsukia
• Dhirendra Kumar Mili (65) of Kamrup Metro
• Sunit Borthakur (70) of Jorhat
• Mohen Dutta (62) & Ratul Sarmah (61) of Golaghat
• Khagen Deka (69) of Sonitpur.
