Hailakandi Sammiloni, Silchar felicitates Indian Sepaktakraw coach Bidhumukhi Singha

February 24: Hailakandi Sammiloni, Silchar felicitated Bidhumukhi Singha, the newly appointed coach of Indian Sepaktakraw team which is going to participate in the 4th South Asian Cup at Dhaka. On Monday afternoon, the felicitation programme was organised at Silchar Press Club.

It needs mention here that a few days ago, the Sepaktakraw Federation of India has selected Hailakandi’s Bidhumukhi Singha as the coach of Indian Sepaktakraw team which is going to participate in the 4th South Asian Cup from 6 March to 11 March, 2020 in Dhaka. The Indian team will depart for the event on 5 March from New Delhi to Dhaka and return back on 12 March, 2020. Bidhumukhi Singha was directed by the Sepaktakraw Federation of India to report at its office in New Delhi on 25 February, 2020.

The felicitation programme was attended by Badal Dey, President of Hailakandi Sammiloni, Silchar, its General Secretary Soumitra Dutta Roy, Uttam Shee, Surajit Shome, Pallabita Sharma among others. Later on, speaking to way2barak, Pallabita Sharma, a member of Hailakandi Sammiloni, Silchar said, “It’s indeed a matter of great honour for us that a person from our native place Hailakandi has achieved this rare distinction at the national level. That is why, we had decided to felicitate her.”

A resident of Sudarshanpur Part-III at Nimaichandpur in Hailakandi district, Bidhumukhi Singha started playing Sepaktakraw as a junior level player in 1999. Till now, she has participated in 3 National Games, 28 National championship and 4 Federation Cup matches. Here is the complete list of the achievements of Bidhumukhi Singha:
