Assam registers 1117 +ve cases on Saturday, state tally goes upto 22,981

July 18: On Saturday, a total of 1117 were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the COVID tally of the state has gone upto 22,981. At present, there are 7760 active cases in the state. Further, on Saturday another 1060 patients were discharged from various hospitals across Assam. As of now, 15,165 patients were discharged from Assam. Saturday also registered 2 more deaths due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death tally of the state 53. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1117 new #COVID19 ve+ patients in Assam today, with 515 cases from Guwahati City alone. Critical for us to #StayAtHome to Stay Safe!
